About

“The only way to discover the limits of the possible is to go beyond them into the impossible” Arthur C. Clarke

PT Performance Training is based in Victoria, BC. I started it shortly after moving to Canada from New Zealand, in July 2006. I offer a wide variety of services to athletes of all ability levels and age groups. Specializing in endurance sports such as swimming, cycling, running and triathlon, I am dedicated to helping you achieve your goals.

I provide both coaching and sport science services. The coaching services include fully customized training plans for cyclists, runners and triathletes, private sessions, group sessions, workshops and training camps. The sport science services include professional 3D bike fitting, testing, technique assessments, consultations and sports nutrition.

Who do I work with?

Everyone who needs help with their training and would like to receive sound professional and current advice and guidance from a highly educated, experienced coach. I mostly work with intermediate to high performance athletes, who are ambitious and hard working.

What I believe in

  • Honesty is important for success, even if it sometimes unpleasant
  • Consistency, consistency, consistency
  • Learning is for life, whether for me as a coach and for you as an athlete
  • Everyone deserves an expert coach, whether an age group or a pro athlete. I would like to share my expertise with positive, fun and hardworking people, regardless of their ability level. If you are willing to work hard with no excuses, train consistently, learn, work as a team and have a positive attitude: you have come to the right place.
  • Making good decisions is not always an easy process, but it is an important one for both coaches and athletes. Learning from experience is an important part of this
  • Communication is key. A coach-athlete relationship, like any other relationship, will work best with proper communication between athlete and coach
  • I only create plans that are highly specific to the individual. No one size fits all, no templates, no BS
